Town of Colchester

The Town of Colchester, chartered in June 1763, is one of Vermont’s largest municipalities and an integral part of Greater Burlington. There are three exits from I-89 that serve Colchester: exit 15 for Winooski Park and Fort Ethan Allen (Rt 15); exit 16 for Water Towers Hill and Severance Corners (Rts 7 & 2), Malletts Bay and Colchester Village; and exit 17 for Clay Point and the Islands (Rt 2). From the Town’s homepage are easy links to its Public Works Department, to its Planning and Zoning Department, and to several other Town agencies. Town offices are located at 781 Blakely Road; mail should be sent to P.O. Box 55, Colchester, Vermont 05446.

Polices services throughout the Town of Colchester are provided by its Police Department. For police services call: 264-5557.

There are two other fire districts in Colchester: Fire District No. 2, which serves Malletts Bay
for its water department, call 862-4621; and Fire District No. 3, which serves most of the rest of the town for its water department call 878-4337.
